How do you differentiate a musician from a pianist?
It’s got something to do with humming while playing.
When dealing with an actual musician, while reading or playing music, there is much more going on in their heads than just pressing the keys on the keyboard or blowing into a woodwind instrument. Music is a product of heart and ear and not only fingers and technique.
Is it “classical” or “Classical”?
Here are the two most confusing and misused words:
Classical music & classical music.
Was Chopin a Classical composer? Don’t jump the gun yet. The correct answer is ‘NO’. He wasn’t; yet, his music is referred to as classical music. Chopin was in fact a Romantic composer. That doesn’t mean he was a romantic fellow, even though he was, but again the term “Romantic” refers to the period in time in the History of Western Music. The classical music is an umbrella-term under which falls the different periods in history such as Baroque, Classical, Romantic and etc.
How do you separate good music from bad one?
To start with, if you don’t enjoy listening to classical music, don’t blame the genre, blame yourself.
